40th edition: Loreto 400 "Route of the Missions"


The Loreto 400 is an off-road rally event held in Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico. The race starts and finishes in the charming town of Loreto, traversing roads that pass through communities such as San Javier, San José de Comondú, and various ranches connecting Loreto with these historic sites.

Named the "Loreto 400 Route of the Missions," the race follows routes once traveled by missionaries who established Jesuit missions in the region.

This event is a notable fixture on the endurance racing calendar and has become a cherished tradition among enthusiasts of this sport. Here are some important details about the race:


Date and Location:


  • Usually held in September, this year the review will be on Saturday, September 14th and the starting flag will be on Sunday, September 15th.
  • The race takes place in and around Loreto, which is known for its natural beauty and rich history.

Following the announcement that the competition will be held in the long-route format, and with many runners already familiar with the spectacular track, participants have confirmed their attendance.

In the coming days, we will continue with the route recognition and marking, with the final map for the 39th edition of the Loreto 400 "Ruta de las Misiones" to be announced by September 1.
